6 Large reservoirs for storage of Helium.
The Cryogenic System for the JT-60SA can be described as the largest facility for cooling helium to very low temperatures with a cooling capacity of 9kW at minus 269 degrees Celsius.
The JT-60SA Tokamak is being built in Japan under a comprehensive cooperation agreement between Japan and Europe. In total, the six reservoirs will store 3.6 tons of helium gasses. Each reservoir is 22m long, 4m in diameter, 250m3 in volume and weighs about 73 tons.
